BASS PLAYING SKATER HIKER ARTIST.

Pretty much sums me up in one sentence. Oh, and I don’t take myself too seriously. But I do take my work seriously and I have been drawing since I could hold a pencil.

From doodling in the margins of my school books to steering my education to a B.A in Illustration and Animation at MMU. That’s where I discovered my passion for Children’s books. Through the Macmillan Children’s Book competition, I was introduced to the whole process. So for me, writing, storyboarding and character design, are a natural progression and I love to see how tiny egg ideas can grow into fully fledged booklings!

Although I have been traditionally published for over 25 years I am returning with a fresh approach, where my writing and artwork are as free as I am when I’m wandering the fells.

That is where I have found inspiration for a new series of books coming soon!

My interests are all forms of free expression and hiking in particular gives me the time and space for my mind to wander and allow the idea floodgates to open. I fill my sketchbook with ideas before coming home to the studio to transform into stories.

If you would like to tap into this rich resource of creative passion, drop me an email, I would love to hear from you!
